What if we kite?

A journey to freedom

Bonjour, I’m Neary, and calling myself as a Surfer… or more as a Kitesurfer of life, since my early age. But as kitesurfing has taught me, even in the face of the strongest winds, we can navigate, ride the wave and find our way, by adapting our gears. That’s the story behind “What If we Kite”.

My life is a mosaic of experiences: I was born in Cambodia, raised and educated in France, married, remarried, mother of two wonderful children from a first union. I’m the heritage of an extraordinary and poignant family story, that unfortunately many other Cambodian families went through during that dark period from 1975 to 1979. Our exodus from Cambodia, torn apart by Pol Pot’s genocide, to our new home, France, in 1981, engraved in me the strength of resilience, adaptation and the thirst for freedom.

Adaptation, level-up to success

In my first year of primary school, I was not good enough and had to repeat the same class (Cours Primaire). This was the “failure” that others would call, that forged my determination to succeed at any cost. The passing of my father in 1983 left my mother on her own, she was 26, to raise  my two younger brothers and me, I was 7. We made our nest around Paris, then in Châlons en Champagne. Each move was a new challenge, each city a new beginning. Since then, I’ve moved a dozen times in France and internationally. Moving had become the norm for me.

My academic and professional career reflects my determination to succeed socially. So just did it. Graduated as a Mechanical Engineer, I have an international career spanning over 21 years. I’ve travelled the world, Europe, Africa, Asia Pacific (lived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Perth, Australia).

After almost a decade in Asia-Pacific, I returned to France in 2020, rich in experiences and loads of ideas to mature “What If we Kite” immersions. We all have many instances in our lives, where we feel out of power, right? So let me help you pull your cable to power and level-up your batteries through our Immersions.

What if we Kite?

Did you know that sport activities naturally release endorphins? It’s also one of the molecules of happiness and has positive effects on depression.

Kitesurfing is my secret power of happiness. Within our If We Kite community, I’m helping to recharge your batteries and regain confidence in your ability to lead your life, and realign yourself with the World.

Come and join us in our immersion. Welcome to this new adventure. Visit my Facebook page.
